Nature and Environment Preservation
9096 km area is under the law protection of the parish. This area consists of: Nadgoplański Millenium Park protected landscape area and protected area zones of the central and western part of the parish, so called Myrad Forests. A filium of Nadgoplański Millenium Park has been established on the Potrzymiech peninsula, which receives young people during summer season. The youth is taught by scientists from Poznań University about preservation of nature and environment and takes part in young ornithologists camps. The will to participate in those events has to be reported a year in advance to the chief director.
Jeziora Wielkie parish has been awarded with a distinction award in the national contest organized by the president of Poland office and an award for the best parish in the Bydgoszcz province. In order to widen ecological education a special program of ecology elements has been introduced in all primary schools in the region. There is an All-Province Symposium for preservation of nature in Przyjezierze every year.
